Accuplacer Testing
The Office of Student Services will test all new degree seeking students, with the exception of the one semester certificate seeking students, or students that have met or exceeded the ACT/SAT cut scores. A copy of the ACT/SAT results must be provided to the Registrar’s office.
Students will be administered the ACCUPLACER test in English, writing, reading, and math proficiency to determine the proper placement of students in Math and Composition courses. The information derived from the test will be used to assess which courses will be mandatory for the students to assure academic success. Students will not be denied admission to the college on the basis of ACCUPLACER score results.
Students who have not met or exceed the ACT/SAT will be allowed to take the ACCUPLACER to establish course placement. Students who do not score at the established cut scores for English and Math on the ACCUPLACER will be required to enroll in the respective 099 Developmental course(s).
Transfer student who have completed college level Math or English with a letter grade of C or better will not be required to complete the ACCUPLACER test. To verify that these courses were successfully completed, an unofficial transcript must be available at the time of registration. To transfer credits, an official transcript will need to be sent directly from the college(s) previously attended to our SBC Registrar.
**The ACCUPLACER test can take up to two hours to complete. It is our recommendation that you complete the test prior to registration to avoid returning a second day to complete the registration process. To set up an appointment, contact registration@vinilocopisteria.com.

Housing
If you are interested in applying for family housing or the dormitory, please contact the Housing Director at 701.854.8022 as soon as possible. Only applicants with complete applications who meet eligibility requirements will be considered. Applications can also be printed from our website at vinilocopisteria.com located under the Student tab.
